Alright, I really didn’t want to debut my costume till it was finished - but I need your guys’ help again! Cape or no cape?
I bought this fabric to make a tube top to go under my corset since the back is open and looks pretty tacky… then I was being silly and tied it around my neck and ran around the house… and it’s got me thinking…
I’ve openly ridiculed capes on WW costumes in the past because she doesn’t actively wear one, and for the sake of authenticity I wasn’t going to - but! She’s often illustrated wearing a cape on covers and is wearing them on some action figures. So it’s not totally inaccurate.
The pros - A little added modestly, I’ve never worn this little clothing in public and am honesty quite nervous about it. Added warmth - It IS March in Seattle and I’m going to be cold as hell. Overall better look - the back of my costume is messy, with the corset ties and ribbons, a belt buckle, it would just overall look better if ALL that was covered. And I wouldn’t have to try to silk screen stars on my own ass while wearing the chonies.
The cons - less contrast between the corset and the background, it’ll be red on red. Not showing a lot of my tattoos when Tattooed Wonder Woman was kind of the whole point. And I don’t have the time to make it AWESOME or I’d add a gold trim and everything.
If I decide to wear it I obviously won’t just tie it around my neck, I’ll create a gold armor looking attachment piece.

Go with the cape. You’ll be comfortable, less self-conscious, and more confident. Remember it’s all about confidence....
